For the 4th iteration of Release Cycle, we are delighted to present works by Tina Stefanou.
Tina Stefanou is in her 35th year of life - continually diminishing and re-emerging in live actions and moving images. Through an undisciplined but rigorous practice, she playfully makes meaning with others - whether familial or strangers, bipedal or multipedal, living or otherwise. For this viewing, she will put together a collection of recently made performance films - a series of ongoing verses - which explores themes such as Peasant Surrealism and Agripoet(h)ics through a vocally led engagement with the world. Re(dis)sonance and other things that come together to sing, spit, hum, soothsay and sometimes eat.
For Release Cycle SEVENTH Gallery & Composite partner to present a 12-month screening series featuring clusters and conglomerations of moving works by visual artists that experiment widely with form and format.
